Dead Man Walking - Special Event

May 23
Monday: 3:00
All tickets: $12

The Cape Cinema presents a special screening of the award-winning 1997 film about the relationship between a death row inmate (Sean Penn) and his spiritual adviser, Sister Helen Prejean (Susan Sarandon).

A post-screening discussion will feature the real-life Sister Helen Prejean on her work, her books, and her quest for restorative justice for both convicted murderers and the families of victims. A portion of ticket sales and donations will benefit Sr. Helen and her work, as well as the Cape Cod Fellowship of Reconciliation and Cape Cod Call to Action.

Sister Helen Prejean, leading advocate for the abolition of the death penalty, will lead a post-screening discussion.
